Paul Huggins has been with the trust since 2005 and as Head of ECA he currently leads one of the financial services offered by the Carbon Trust Solutions business. He advises Government on the policy implementation of financial incentives; provides technology leadership for the Energy Technology List and across the Solutions business; and is a champion of current generation energy saving technologies including ICT.
He leads the Carbon Trust relationship with current generation energy saving product suppliers.
Paul directs the trust’s Technology Forum activities and is currently chair of the Technology Forum for ICT which seeks to work with ICT stakeholders to identify and capture additional carbon savings. His current areas of ICT interest include low carbon data centre cooling, assessment of low carbon ICT including footprinting methodologies, and understanding the appropriate balance point between ICT enablement and ICT footprint reduction.
Prior to the Carbon Trust, Paul held global programme, environmental and ICT leadership roles in bluechip companies including BHP Billiton, Veolia, Shell and BP. He holds a BSc (Hon) Applied Geology and Computer Science, an MSc Artificial Intelligence and an MBA (Cranfield).
