Victor C Smith, EMEA Technical Work Group Chair, The Green GridVictor Smith is the EMEA Technical Work Group Chair in The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centres and business computing ecosystems.  The Green Grid's scope includes collaboration with end users and government organisations worldwide to ensure that each organisational goal is aligned with both developers and users of data center technology.


With Dell since 1997 Vic Smith is a Technologist with the Enterprise Technology Group. Vic is responsible for Datacentre Infrastructure including Virtualization and Environmental Solutions for EMEA. Dell Technologists provide deep technical knowledge, best practices, guidance and pre-sales support to customers throughout EMEA.
With over 20 years experience in the computer industry, in addition to being a member of The Green Grid, Vic is a member The British Computer Society Datacentre Specialist Group and previously worked as a consultant for a number of technologies including Silicon Graphics and Apple Computer.
